Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you feel at ease throughout the experience.

Deep Tissue therapy is for muscle relief and rehabilitation, not relaxation. So you need to be prepared to feel some discomfort during a deep tissue massage and prepared to take care of yourself afterwards by drinking lots of water and taking it easy on your muscles for a day or so.

You might experience some pain from trigger points and knots during the massage as this form of massage concentrates on relieving strain and tension from tissues that go deeper. The pain could also be because the massage uses movements against the muscles rather than moving with them. But if you think you’re experiencing intense pain, immediately inform your therapist. The best way to make the most of a deep tissue massage is to be as relaxed as you can and trust your therapist.

Benefits of Deep Tissue:

  1. Works to Relieve Back Pain

  2. Works to help rehab injured muscles

  3. Breaks Down Scar Tissue

  4. Relieves Stress

  5. Increases Joint Mobility

  6. Reduces Chronic Pain

Notes:

  • Do not opt for deep tissue massage if you have been diagnosed with blood clots in the past since the massage may dislodge the clots. Talk to your doctor of you have or are at risk of forming blood clots.

  • Check with your doctor if you have had chemotherapy, radiation, recent surgery, or any medical condition. Also, avoid deep tissue massage if you have osteoporosis.

Sport Massage and Stretching

Sports Massage is a highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function. Sports Massages target muscle-tendon junctions to boost flexibility and endurance, while reducing muscle fatigue. Pressure is always according to the client’s requests.

Anyone who routinely stretches their physical limits through movement such as running, cycling, hiking, swimming, dancing, tennis and other racquet sports, strength training and aerobics can benefit from a massage. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and helps you recover faster from heavy workouts, and relieves conditions which may cause injury.

There are others who does strenuous activities in a day that is not normally classified as exercise. Examples are mothers with small children, gardeners, and others who use their bodies strenuously in their work.

Incorporating massage in your conditioning program has many benefits. It helps you get into good shape faster, and with less stiffness and soreness.

For most athletes, enjoying less muscle stiffness and improving relaxation and well-being is reason enough to enjoy regular massage.

Upper Body
Myo-Release

Upper Body Myo-Release is perfect for mechanics, desk workers, active Moms, computer enginers, and anyone struggling with Posture, neck, and shoulder pain. Many of these pains are attributes to poor posture or unawareness to postural issues when in the office, out in the field, or even at home on your phone. Posture doesn't just start with the shoulders, if the hips are tilted and the spine has found itself in a different alignment than it should be: low back, shoulder, and neck pain can be found waiting just around the corner. Upper Body Myo-Fusion incorporates elements of Myotherapy and Upper Body Thoracic Release techniques. It's a technique I've developed on my own, focusing on releasing the Mid-Upper Thoracic Region (mid to lower spine) and neck by relaxing and releasing tension from the lower Sacral and Gluteal areas. By Combining Myotherapy and several other types of releasing techniques, the body is able to unwind and release knots, tension, and pent up fascia.Areas That Benefit from Myo-fusion:*Low Back relief*Encourages better posture*Sciatic Nerve pain relief*Scapular pain and Tension reduction*Neck, shoulder, and mid-back knot release*Diaphragm and abdominal relief

Swedish Sedona

Swedish Sedona is a unique variation on Swedish massage, the foundation of Western massage. The Sedona part of the name comes from the massage developed by Susan Pomfret, while working at resorts in Arizona. She combined Swedish strokes with the flow of West Coast massage. Added to this are techniques designed to be effective in the medical massage setting.Using Swedish Sedona, the therapist can go deep without causing discomfort. The client feels ‘taken apart’ and ‘put back together’.  For the receiver, Swedish Sedona is smooth and flowing with a wide range of pressures.

Thai Reflexology

By combining deep-tissue pressure-point reflexology work with traditional art of Thai Foot techniques, the massage varies according to your body and how you feel on the day you come. Allowing the gentle, soothing massage mixed with specific point work allows for a full relaxing experience to heal your mind, body, and soul.

Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression.
